Met Council Staff Visit to Manhattan Family Justice Center

image039.bmpDuring this year’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Met Council staff was invited to tour and learn more about the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence’s Family Justice Center. Family Justice Centers are one stop shops where victims can meet with a District Attorney, obtain an Order of Protection from the NYPD, receive counseling from a social worker, and gain additional services — all while having free childcare.

Met Council collaborates with the Mayor’s Office of Domestic Violence Family Justice Centers in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.

Though we receive referrals involving clients of every background, Met Council is proud to be the agency the City turns to for assistance with domestic violence involving members of the Jewish community.
