Students Volunteer with Met Council

image015Students from Abraham Joshua Heschel High School spent the day volunteering at Met Council’s Food Rescue Pantry to better understand the cost and nutrition restraints on low income families.  The day included an interactive SNAP (formerly food stamps) workshop where the students received tools to organize, shop and prepare nutritious meals within a SNAP budget.  The meals were later donated to Met Council housing sites.
