The Jewish Community Unites Against Sex Trafficking

Met Council is joining together with UJA-Federation of New York’s Task Force on Family Violence to bring “We Were Slaves: The Jewish Communities Unites Against Sex Trafficking” to the community.

This all day conference will be held on April 22, 2013 and will explore the history and obligation of combating sex-trafficking. The conference is open to all and will provide essential information for social service, legal, and medical professionals. Speakers will include Rabbi Levi Lauer of ATZUM, Isabel Vincent, author of Bodies and Souls: The Tragic Plight of Three Jewish Women Forced into Prostitution in Americas, and many more.
